Going in for Sports

Lots of people enjoy different sports. However, there are people who think that sport is not really useful.

 What is your opinion? Are you for or against sport?

Write 200 - 250 words.

[j][/j]There are people who believe that if a person goes info sports, he or she will get a great pleasure. However, there are also those who consider that sport doesn’t lead to best achievements.
In my view, people cannot do without sport. First of all, sport helps us to stay in good shape, to keep fit and to be healthy, so it makes people strong. Secondly, sport builds our character, it teaches us to win and to lose and makes us more organized and better disciplined in our daily activities. Finally, it’s a good way to spend your free time and to make new friends.
Some people may object to my arguments and say that sport takes a lot of energy and time, so it’s not very useful. They may also argue that as a result of going in for spots, people have different injuries, for example, broken legs and arms.
Answering to their objections I can claim that if you don’t go in for extreme sport, but do sports exercises just for pleasure, to keep fit and to stay healthy, then sport is definitely useful and not dangerous.
In conclusion, I can say that I enjoy different sports such as swimming, football, volleyball or skiing, because it helps me to stay in good shape. I still suppose that sport is a great way to feel yourself healthy, beautiful and enjoyable.

Sport plays a big role in our life. Many people do sport in our country. They want to stay healthy. Sport is a good mean of struggling with stress.    In my opinion sport is important for healthy free time. Sport also makes people strong and prepares a lot of joy.      But the sport has its drawbacks: you can get injured, you need money.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Some people participate in sports, others prefer watching them on TV. It is known that walking for an hour is healthier than irregular participation in any active physical activities. To keep fit some people join special classes or take part in aerobics or yoga, do some kind of training in a gym. Others play football, badminton, volleyball, tennis.

We are living in an age where rules are turned upside down, morals are disdained and values are substituted by convenience. This is where sport plays an important role of teaching moral lessons (Kemp, 1999, p. 46). Sport is generally regarded as one of the most favorite pastimes of people across the world. Various people spend their spare time relaxing on the beach, watching TV, reading newspaper or surfing internet. 
    On the other hand, some get bored with such passive modes of entertainment. They prefer rather more lively ways of spending their spare time by playing games like basketball, football, volleyball, table tennis, squash, cycling, jogging, skiing or swimming
    As for me, human fitness is closely related sports. It is common understanding that the people involved in sport keep themselves fit and healthy. The average life of the sportsman is usually longer than the one who do not play any physical game throughout the life (Kemp, 1999, p. 46). Regular engagement in sport has many psychological benefits. Most importantly, sport helps relieve the stresses faced by people in day-to-day affairs. In addition, it also helps in providing a social gathering where one replaces his/her lonesomeness with the security of belonging. Sports facilitate people to achieve virtues such as determination, discipline, courage, and thirst to win in every aspect of life. It is not viewed by many as an activity of leisure time only but also a school of life. It teaches us the lesson of victory and defeat. If we can accept our losses and analyze the causes, the next time there is a chance for us to be a winner.
    Summing up, sports are loved by the people across the globe as it keeps fit, healthy, well-organized, and better-disciplined. Sports offer fun and other physical and mental benefits. Furthermore, it propagates diversity by uniting and harmonizing people of different races, colors, creeds, and nationalities. Lastly, it is extremely essential to keep away from the sports where there is a threat to life or health.

I have always wondered why sport plays an important role in people's life. It is popular among the young and the old.We live in a polluted world, that is why more and more people are concerned about their health and that is why more and more of them start going in for sport.
As for me, sport is also a good way to keep fit, and everybody knows that keeping fit and being healthy is important. A healthy person can work easily and live a happy life. Keeping fit has become an important part of our life. We should remember that we were not created for sitting at table all day, so it is very important to spend a few minutes doing some exercises every day. Many people do morning exercises, go jogging and go to the gym. Others prefer watching sports games on TV and listening to sports news rather than going in for sport.
According to another opinion, a lot of people like spending most of their spare time watching TV or working at computers. Such people ruin their eyes and their muscles do not work well. This way of life is not healthy. There are also bad habits that can damage your health. They include smoking, drinking alcohol and taking drugs. A lot of young people prefer smoking to going in for sport and this is not good.
To come back to the point raised at the beginning I try to lead a healthy life, because I like feeling fit and happy.
